|  Car Rental for under 21, any ideas? Hi, I will be coming to Vancouver in April and need a car for 10days or 2weeks. The problem is that I am only 20 and none of the major Rentals appear to rent cars to people under 21 or 25? Do you know any places in Vancouver that do such a rent? Thanks |

| Re: Car Rental for under 21, any ideas? hi there, Hertz Car Rental, located downtown Vancouver, offers car rental for people between the ages of 21 and 24, but also for people under age. I believe you just have to pay an extra $25 per day for the same car rental. |

| Car Rental for under 21 suggestion If I were you I would get somebody older co-sign the car rental for you so you won't get charged ridiculous amounts. I once rented a car when I was 21 and had to pay twice as much because apparently they had higher rates for 21-25 year old. If all else fails, look for independent car rental places such as Fox Rent a Car may be able to give you car, but they are known for keeping GPS logs, so make sure you read the rental contract very carefully. |

|  rental companies for under 21 Unfortunely, 21 is the minimum age when most rental companies in Vancouver ( independent or chain companies) allow to rent one of their cars. Saying this, I know of someone that rented a car from Enterprise at the Vancouver Airport though they charged him $15/day more. That was a few years ago so not sure if they still do that. Quote:

| Re: Car Rental for under 21, any ideas? Usually, car rental companies have a requirement to be over 21 or else they will tack on an extra amount for each day of the rental. I'm a Hertz member, and they usually offer rentals for an extra $20 to $25 a day to rent a car under 21, unless someone else rents the car and puts you on as an extra driver. There are other options, however, that you may want to consider for transportation in Vancouver.
