trekking tours in Antarctica

Has anyone been to Antarctica and done any trekking tours? Are they for everyone and what kind of things do you get to see?

Also, any ideas if these trekking tours in Antarctica are day hikes or week long ones?

You definitley need to be fit for one of these trekking tours even it id a day long, as opposed to the extended ones that can last a few days.

The trekking tours in Antarctica can be very intense, but sights that you will see while hiking in Antarctica makes it worth it.

I would suggest sticking to day guided hikes, it you're not an experienced hiker, as Antarctica isn't the kind of place where wandering off on your own is generally recommended.
