|  arriving in Antarctica hiya, im wondering what will be like arriving in Antarctica and what the ports would be like. can you give me an idea of ports there, facilities, etc? manythanks |

| Re: arriving in Antarctica hi there, To give you an idea, the ports there aren't fancy but that's part of the appeal of a trip there. Most cruise ships actually stop off-shore, and take passengers out on small rafts to the shores of Antarctica for excursions and that kind of thing. One of the ports in mainland Antarctica is Port Lockroy but can also find ports in the South Shetland Islands, which include islands such as Deception Island. |
