Buenos Aires Beaches

Like many great cities, Buenos Aires grew up along side the water. Its beautiful beaches are, in fact, one of the main draws to the capital of Argentina. Many of the resorts are located along the Mar de Ajo. If you're looking for some of the best beaches, you might want to make the trip to Mar del Plata. It's a few hours, but the beaches are great.

Mar Azul is another great beach. It does take some getting too, but you'll find a quiet beach with plenty of natural beauty here.

i reckon that the best beaches near Buenos Aires are in Uruguay, though I would agree that Mar del Plata isn't bad at all (mind you it's still a 4-5 trek from BA). Also, this beach gets absolutely jam-packed, especially on weekends and national holidays.
