| Argentina Argentina is filled with lush rainforests, wild animals, and mountainous terrain. Transportation is key with such a large country, many tourists choose to take a train few travel by car. For the outdoor enthusiasts, Argentina is home to the Andes Mountains. Enjoy trekking trips, skiing or snowboarding. |

| Hello I hope anyone can help me with my queries? I will be traveling to Argentina for a month with a friend in April next year (07). We are starting to plan our route and destinations we would like to visit. We plan to visit Uruguay and San Antonio De Areco which are very easy to get to and arrange from Buenos Aires however the other places we want to visit are Puerto Iguazu (Iguazu Fall), Salta and El Calafate (for the Glaciar Perito Moreno). I know traveling by bus would be the cheaper option; however due to the size of Argentina and the limited time we have it seems traveling on internal flights would be the best option. I wondered if anyone could put me in the right direction of any travel agents in Argentina (Buenos Aires) who can offer good (cheap) prices for internal flights. I have done some research online with Aerolineas and prices are looking very expensive. I have also seen information regarding air passes for visitors, would anyone recommend this for internal flights or would we be better off buying the tickets separately once we are in Argentina. I look forward to your advice and reply. Regards Irene |

| Hi Irene, flying to Calafate and Salta is the best way but if you don't mind travelling for 16h in a cama (bed) bus to Iguazu I'd recommend it as the route is quite nice (buses include meals and drinks)... Flights in Argentina are expensive for foreign travellers as Aerolineas Argentinas is practically the only airline in the country (Lan Argentina is starting with some routes and less schedules but prices are about the same). In the past it was a good deal to buy tickets once in the country or to a local travel agency instead of any pass, but now you will have to compare. Try to contact Aerolineas Argentinas UK and see if they can offer you a good deal purchasing International flights with them as well. If not, send a request to www.peruforless.com for a quote, the company can offer you land services for good prices as well. I'm from Argentina and work at PFL, so any kind of info you may need, just let me know.
