|  camping in Arizona state parks hey guys, My buddy and I are looking to enjoy some back country camping we're considering camping in Arizona state parks, though we could do with some input on campsites, parks, etc.... Thanks for any ideas! |

| Re: camping in Arizona state parks hi there, Most Arizona state parks have formal camp grounds and cabins. If you want to enjoy back country camping, the Sonoita Creek State Natural Area to the south of Tucson is the best place for wilderness, though isolated. You won't find here restrooms, showers and the other kinds of facilities. Another thing to bear in mind, it's that you'll need a permit for back country camping at the Sonoita Creek State Natural Area. however, you can easily obtain one at the park's visitor center or at the gatehouse of the Patagonia Lake State Park. |

| Re: camping in Arizona state parks As far as I know, camping is allowed on all of the state parks of Arizona. Probably some of the best places to head to are those located in the banks of the Colorado River. |
