Tucson tours

What's the best time of year to visit Tucson? I visited in July a few years ago, and man, it was hot. I want to go back, but I want to go at at time when it's cool enough to enjoy the sites. What would you suggest?

Hey Mittraveler, between November and April is a good time for traveling to Tucson, though I'd avoid traveling from mid-December through mid-February because it rains a lot. Interestingly enough, February is also one of the most expensive times to be there (i.e. high hotel rates, expensive airfare, etc) because of the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.

All that aside, anytime between Nov and Apr can be a lovely time to sunbathe by the pool, enjoy desert hiking, or an afternoon of golf with your buddy!

Thanks for sharing your advice! I hadn't thought about the gem show. That will up the prices. My birthday is is Mid-January, and that would be a great time to leave behind the snow!
