Although much attention has been directed at the penguins, sharks and stingrays at the new Wildlife World Aquarium, there’s another well-known but poorly understood species on display that tends to strike fear in the hearts of reef divers and snorklers -- eels. Find out more about the newly opened attractions at Wildlife Zoo & Aquarium, the only public aquarium located between Albuquerque and San Diego! azfamily.com/pets/zoo/stories/phoenix-pets-animals-wildlife-world-moray-eel.497a2f7f.html

In addition to natural wonders like Grand Canyon, Arizona also offers the wonderful wildlife world zoo & aquarium, which is a home for over 25,000 animals with 400 different species. This zoo is located west of Phoenix and considered as one the best Arizona attractions. It's filled with indoor & outdoor attractions including an African safari train, the children's petting zoo, the Australian boat ride and the Giraffe feeding center. Aquarium gives you a great opportunity to see the unusual species such as seahorses, stingrays, Giant Pacific Octopus and sharks. We just came back from Arizona tour and explored many Arizona attractions, but the highlight of our trip is this Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium. The zoo is available for visitors everyday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the aquarium is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. We paid $26.50/person and I think it's $14.25 for children. My sister's son is about 2 years old and they didn't charge him, he came for free. The Heard museum, Grand Canyon national park, Heritage square and the Arizona-Sonora desert museum are some of the other Arizona attractions we have visited during our Arizona tour. We're thinking of to go again :)

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium has been open in the west Valley for many years and has recently added the new aquarium. This is a great place for kids--while teaching in the Phoenix area this was a choice destination for our innercity kids. The kids loved walking under the "Big Cat" crossover--a see through wire cage extention that tigers, etc can travel from one large area to another. Feeding giraffes is always fun, the merekats are adorable but, the new marine additon has made this zoo top notch! Of course, kids also love the super playground.
