family vacation in Arkansas

hi,

we are finally planning a family vacation in Arkansas and we are wondering where would be best for a family vacation. I love fishing and golfing and my kids enjoy water activities...thanks for any suggestions

hi there,

Texarkana is a great destination for families and offers plenty to do. As you are interested in angling you can always head to Lake Millwood or Lake Wright Patman, where you can also enjoy kayaking and canoeing.

There are some good golf courses in and around Texarkana that should more than meet your needs. Some of the area golf courses offer lessons if you are interested in bettering your game, and a few sport pro shops where you can pick up some equipment if you need it.

For the kids, you can visit the Texarkana Fun Park, which features arcades, other games, some fun rides, and a miniature golf course.

I would recommend Northwest AR for vacationing. It is certainly the most beautiful part of the state and offers many outdoor activities!
