currency in Aruba

I need some input, if you please..whats the currency in Aruba and are credit cards accepted there?

hi there,

Aruba's currency is the Aruban Florin (AFL). The Aruban Florin is tied to the US Dollar so the the US Dollar is widely accepted. Other currencies can be exchanged in banks. Currency can also be obtained from ATMs in Oranjestad.

Most major credit cards are widely accepted by many shops and hotels. They can also be used in ATMs if the card bears CIRRUS or Plus System logos.

Traveler's Cheques cheques in US Dollars or Euros are also advised to avoid additional exchange rate charges.

The official currency is the Aruban florin, which is divided into 100 cents. Current exchange rates are Afl. 1.78 to the U.S. Dollar and Afl 1.50 to the Canadian Dollar. U.S. dollars are widely accepted in Aruba, and banks may exchange other foreign currency.
