| If you are new to the city, I'd personally suggest taking a tour of the city so you become familiar with all things Sydney. You can actually get free walking tour brochures from the Historical Program, or any library or community center within the city of Sydney. On your walking tour, you'll end up strolling by The Rocks, where you can enjoy shopping and eating out. You'll also come across the famed Sydney Opera House, where you can catch world class performances. As far as January events, the Sydney Arts Festival is held in this month, during Australia's summer, and it is an exciting way to experience both European and Indigenous tradition, along with music, dance, and arts from around the world. |
