getting from Sydney to Wollongong

what's the best of your favourite way to get from Sydney to Wollongong? what transportation options do I have? thanks

Car and train are great, though I'd go with the car if you're not in a rush. The car can actually be quicker than the train. There are two routes:

1) The quicker route is to take MetRoad 1 and the Princes Highway south, which takes around 70 minutes.
2) If you want to enjoy the views, take the Grand Pacific Drive.

There is an hourly train service between Sydney and Wollongong on the the South Coast Cityrail line. If you do travel by train, do sit on the left hand side of the train so get the breathtaking views of the ocean.

Wollongong is a beautiful place,and it has grown a chain of coastal towns like Dapto, Bulli,Stanwell Park...also there are mountains which are not so high..in all total its gorgeous!guess what you can even hire bike to just travel around the place:)
