has anyone got any idea what the cost of a Port Moresby-Cairns/Brisbane one-way flight would cost, and what companies fly that route? I know that flight prices can fluxiuate a lot, but I appreciate whatever estimate people out there may have...thanks:)

I checked and the Port Moresby-Cairns/Brisbane one-way flight should cost about A$1000 with the major airlines, though be very careful when selecting your flying dates. The reason I say this is that you won't be able to change the fly dates (at least I couldn't).

I've done this route using Qantas and PNG airlines and I was not able to alter the dates so they made me buy a new ticket:( I checked with the travel agent about this on my way back and he even could not get a refund for me, so be aware!.
