Few weeks ago I booked tickets for my brother and his friend on Quantas and I noticed that the cost of booking two tickets at once was very cheaper and it was just CAD$1,499 each. Good deal.

Not many Airlines fly to Perth and even less fly to Perth from Vancouver. I think Cathay Airways would be your best bet.

I flew to Perth in 2007 on Qantas using their USA to Melbourne basic package then added a 3-flight domestic supplement for under $500 which took me to Perth, Adelaide, Cairns and back to Sydney for about USD $1699.

I flew to Darwin in May 2008 doing the same thing only this time from it included Alice Springs, Uluru, and Melbourne, and the cost had gone up to $1799.

It is still something to consider though.

Otherwise, consider flying into Singapore on a special and then taking budget Tiger Airways to Perth. I flew Tiger from Thailand to Darwin for less than $200 and could have flown to Perth for a similar amount.
