If your looking for something on the edge check out the 2008 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival. Conde Nast says the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival is among the 10 most spectacular costume events, right up there with Venice and Rio. Saturday 9 February - Sunday 2 March 2008

If anyone is thinking of attending the Sydney Mardi Gras, make sure you get there early!
Everyone starts staking out their positions as early as Midday and making a day of it - buying drinks and food from the bars and take-away shops on Oxford St.
