planning a holiday to Austria

hello guys,

We've never been to Austria before and we're not quite sure where in Austria to stay to get the best experience. Can someone give us an idea of what to do where? thanks

hi there,

Most first timers to Austria like to arrive in either Vienna or Salzburg, as they are major cities offering plenty of attractions and things to do.

For instance, in Vienna you can tour castles like Schonbrunn Palace, take a cruise down the Danube River, explore the nearby wine country, or any number of other things.

In Salzburg, you can explore the mighty Hohensalzburg Fortress and Mozarts Geburtshaus, and take guided tours of the city center.

One thing I would advice it's to look into vacation packages that include flights, accommodation and a couple of tours, and you'll have not many stresses once you land in Austria.
