Bahamas

A trip to the Bahamas can be filled with diving, golfing, and cruises. Or you can mellow the vacation to the popular resorts, tours, and even some shopping. Visit Nassau and plan a day trip swimming with the dolphins. Then party the night away on the island of New Providence. Be sure to check out neighbor islands like Freeport, Grand Bahama, and Paradise Island.

Cool Paradise Island

Hey there!
My boyfriend (33) and myself (24) are planning on a trip to Paradise Island. I wanted a place where we didnt have to deal with loud kids and stuff at the pool, so I suggested Sandal Royal Bahamian. Does anyone have any input about this place? Or suggest another place?
Also- we definately like to go out and drink at classy, mature places. But, I do like to dance, and he doesnt. He would prefer a place where we could get a VIP table, so he could sit there. Any clubs, lounges that fit the critera?

I don't know much about the bars/clubs in Paradise Island (well, at least the mature classy ones) but it sounds and looks like the Sandal Royal Bahamian will be a great choice for you and your boyfriend as far as avoiding loud kids. There's also the British Colonial Hilton which seems to enable you to avoid the problems you might encounter at a place like the Atlantis. The rooms look quite nice considering the price.

I'll second a Hilton recommendation. It's not a resort, which is important. The place you mentioned thinking about looks good too. The Hilton has a dance floor/bar/club on their property which might not be EXACTLY what you're looking for but it also won't be inundated with drunken college students doing body shots, which sounds like something you might be trying to avoid. Dragons Nightclub might be what you're looking for. It's in the Atlantis, and it's free for people staying there, but I think there's a $25-30 charge for everyone else. But it's a bit more upscale than a lot of the places you'll find (Senor Frogs, etc). The island is surprisingly not as party-intense as I was expecting. Good luck!
