traveling to the Andaman Islands

howdy!

I've been looking around online for more info regarding the Andaman Islands but im not seem to find what Im looking for. Do you require a visa to enter the islands?..Also, is there any real infrastructure for tourists there?

Hi there,

The Adaman islands are very similar to other places such as the smaller islands of Seychelles, in that they tourist infrastructure is kept to a minimum to keep the islands as natural as possible.

The Adaman islands have amazing beaches and are the kind of place ideal for scuba divers and snorkelers and you'll find a few tour operators that'll take to the best dive spots.

Unfortunately, you do require both a standard visa to enter India and a special visitor's permit to access the islands themselves, but this permit is easy to obtain at the airport when you arrive there.
