Smile Scuba diving

I have heard that scuba diving in Blue Hole is the best. I have never been scuba diving before (I've done some snorkeling up here in the northwest but that's it). Does anyone know of a good, safe place to get equipment and possibly a guide? And prices?

Thanks!

Hi there,

The Blue Hole is Belize’s most famous tourist attractions and renown as one of the best spots for scuba diving and divers alike.

Due to limited sunlight and water circulation, the Blue Hole doesn’t support all that much marine life.

The low light and lack of visual cues can be disorienting when descending in the Hole which is why it is advised to be an experience diver. Although, the less experienced diver can snorkel around the blue rim.
Most groups don't go lower than 130 feet which is the maximum depth for recreational dives.

The cost for dives, including tanks and weights, ranges between $45.00 to $55.00 U.S. but you can find out more information from the San Pedro Tourist Guide Association.

If you would like more information also on what else to do in Belize, please check out this link http://www.destination360.com/centra...e/things-to-do

Hope this helps
