hi people!

we'll be Visiting El Caracol next month as part of our tour of Belize and I was wondering what we should not miss while we there?

Hi there,

Visiting El Caracol is another great place for an insight into how the ancient Maya lived, and El Caracol remains largely unexcavated.

When you are there, you certainly dont want to miss the Caana temple-pyramid, which is pyramid standing 140 feet tall.

El Caracol has numerous small structures and three main plazas. There are two separate ball courts that you'll want to take notice of, and its always a good idea to drop in on the Visitors Center.

The Visitors Center is a great place to check out the collection of Maya artifacts, among which is an intriguing ceremonial altar.

Hope this helps

There are plenty other attractions and Maya Ruins and Temples in Belize. Xunantunich is another great visit and is in San Ignacio District of Belize. Altun ha ruin is in the Belize district and about 35 min drive from the airport in Maskall Village to the north of Belize City
