|  cheap hostels in Rio hiya, A few friends are I are considering backpacking in Brazil, so we'll be spending a few days in Rio. We haven't been to Brazil before, let alone Rio de Janeiro so Im wondering where we can find good and cheap hostels in Rio...any input of any kind is truly appreciated! |

|  Re: cheap hostels in Rio hi, The good thing about Rio is that there plenty of good and cheap hostels not too far away from all the action. Places near the shores of the Atlantic Ocean like Ipanema and Copacabana are great if you want to stay close to these popular beaches. One place worth checking is the Newton's Roof Top Hostel, which is one of the cheapest hostels in Rio, and offers excellent views of Christ the Redeemer. |
