| There are a ton of things to do in Brazil and places to go literary. Some of Brazil' spectacular sights and wonders you can't miss out are Iguassu Falls and Pantanal. Taking a boat trip and trekking excursion along the Amazon is definitely something worth doing. The capital Rio is another place you want to spend most of your time because it's truly an amazing place, with great people and stunning and glamorous beaches like Copacabana. If you can, try and visit Brazil during carnival season, trust me, you'll love it here even more and you'll truly soak in Brazilian culture. |

| There is so much to do one could easily spend years (actually that's what I do anyway ;-) ) If one would like to go to the North-East, the state Bahia (considered by many as the "Black pearl of Brazil") definitly should be on your list. It is a rich and colourfull peace of land where one can discover beautifull nature (Chapada Diamantina National Park also know as the Brazilian Grand Canyon) over 280 paradisiac beaches, a special etnic gastronomy, mysterious religion (candomblé, a mix between Catolicism and African Yoruba rituals) dance (capoeira, samba) and much more. I've been living and travelling around with many tourists here for some years now and managed to make myself a nice database of places to visit sometimes far of the beaten tourist track so never hesitate to contact me via bahia.basix.cc of via email if you would like specific information. | You said it ixke... Bahia is the "Black pearl of Brazil" and my favourite state in Brazil. I've been to Chapada Diamantina and was amazed by the beauty of this place. A trip of a lifetime! As you're in Bahia, you might as well go to Praia do Forte too. Both places are stunning. There are many more places to visit but I can't remember all of them now... But go with that for now. ;) |

| Oh yeah Speedoflight, Praio do Forte is on my list, It is a different place, a bit of tourism but such a relaxing place to be, beautiful giant turtles to watch and the tidal pools on the 12km beach are a gift from the gods to take your afternoon bath Greetz from the tropIX |

| Good luck with your trip planning! If you can swing it, carnival season is a really great time to go; we've got some Rio carnival photos on our main site if you want to check out the style of the costumes. Aside from that, Bahia really is terrific and the beaches around Praia do Forte are great as well, as other travelers have recommended. I have a good friend who's a native of Sao Paulo, and she really recommends her home city if you're in that part of the country, as well as Fortaleza. |
