favourite beach in Rio de Janeiro?

hey everyone, need your input on beaches in Rio..which is one is your favourite and why?

My favourite beache in Rio de Janeiro is Ipanema Beach, which is definitely the best in Rio in my opinion. Why? It's just much less crowded then Copacabana and draws a younger and trendier crowd of people.

Also, Ipanema Beach is very similar to Copacabana in that it has all the activities (Beach Volleyball, Footbal, kites etc etc) but the atmosphere of this beach was much more vibrant, and you can grab a seat at one of the many small outlets along the beach, enjoy people watching, soak up the sun, and have a picnic!

Copacabana Beach is my favourite Rio de Janeiro, Because i like its stretches sand. It looks much beautiful in sun.

My favourite beach in Rio has to be Ipanema Beach because is filled mostly with young people and locals..unlike Copacabana which is more tourist orientated. another thing I like about Ipanema is that beach chairs are only $6 for the entire day. You get to sit back and watch the beautiful beach, that is crystal blue, and all the amazing people without the hordes of tourists.
