|  main Fortaleza city beaches hello, we'll be landing in Jericoacoara in August and would like to know best way to get to Fortaleza...Also, once in Fortaleza, what are the main Fortaleza city beaches? we're looking for a beach spot in Fortaleza with amenities like restaurants and hotels. |

| Re: main Fortaleza city beaches Jericoacoara is about 150 miles from Fortaleza (around 8 hours by road), and you can basically bus it or drive it. I wouldn't suggest driving to Fortaleza though because roads can be tricky. The public buses between Jericoacoara and Fortaleza are great though there is only two departures throughput the day (one at 9am and the other at 5pm). The bus company name is Redenção and they sell tickets at the airport. As far as beaches, the main Fortaleza city beaches are Iracema Beach, Meireles Beach and Murcuripe Beach, which boast lots of restaurants hotels and nightclubs. |
