In manus, the rainy season starts in November and ends in May. Rains are more in the rainy season and some every day in the dry season. During January and February the bigger cruise ships ply between Manus and its mouth at Belem. Only we had a less time in Manus so enjoyed little cruising around the city, but it was very nice.

Is January a good time to do the Amazon Cruise? What is the weather like at that time? We are headed from Manaus to Fort Lauderdale.

I don't know if January will be all that great in Manaus. If you like Brazilian music, dance and partying, consider going to Salvador, Bahia instead. Salvador is the original capital of Brazil. The city is beautiful with lots of great beaches, incredible nightlife and some of the friendliest people in all of Brazil (that's saying something as Brazilians on the whole are really friendly people).

Regards,
Robert
