Amazonat Jungle Lodge, the base camp offers endless possibilities for trekkers and hikers of all levels. With primary and secondary terra firme rainforest at its doorstep you can be on your way when you want. They have three well-marked walking trails connecting the ecolodge where Jane’s Place the main jungle survival camp. Approximately 8km (5 miles) of trails traverse the primary rainforest where you will be surrounded by enormous trees and lush vegetation. Each trail takes about two to three hours one way and can be combined with the other trails for longer circuits. Trails are done with a guide or independently (only after consultation and orientation). Guides will share their knowledge of its plants and animals as well as survival skills. You can also go on a night walk in the rainforest and spend the night at Jane’s Place, their jungle survival camp to experience the rainforest both day and night. For the hardcore adventurer there is an extreme jungle trekking package. You go into the jungle off the trails with their most experienced guide carrying only a hammock and a small emergency pack. With the guide you learn to survive on what you find in the primary forest and fish from the creeks. You will also learn to build your own shelter. A truly unique experience!
