Detailed Brazilian Map/ Carbonite, Brazil's Location

I have a fried who sends support to a child in Brazil. She mentioned in her letter that she had gone to Carbonite. We can't find it on a map. Anyone able to tell us it's location and a bit about it, or where I can find such info? Thanks...

I've spent alot of time in Brazil and never have I heard of Carbonite. You may check want to check the spelling with her. Let me know what you come up with.

The correct spelling of the name is CARBONITA, it is located in the state of Minas Gerais.
