hi there,

There are many things to do on Rio de Janeiro vacations and one great thing to do it's booking Rio tours. A Rio tour offers you a glimpse into Brazil's historic colonial past and you'll be able to see beautiful architecture and many wonderful museums full of history.

Other things to do in Rio de Janeiro vacations include:

- The ascents to the summit of Sugarloaf and Corcovado Mountains. The Corcovado Mountains is home to the imposing statue of Christ the Redeemer, which has recently been named one of the Seven New Wonders of the World. The views from the summit of both peaks is quite breathtaking.

- The gentle seas and islands of beautiful Guanabara Bay. Many yachts, schooners, and other craft are available for luncheon cruises, dinner cruises, and fishing cruises. Spend a couple hours taking lessons at one of the city's many famous samba clubs, then book one of the Rio tours that includes a festive dinner show so you can watch the professionals strut their stuff.

Hope this helps

Hi howdyy,

Rio de Janeiro is a wonderful city in Brazil with beautiful beaches, vibrant night life and a lush forest. Some of the popular Brazil day tours you can do during your Rio de Janeiro vacations are Tijuca rain forest jeep tour (4 hrs), Sepetiba Bay Cruise & tropical island tour (8 hrs) and Sugar Loaf mountain tour (4 hrs).

The rain forest open jeep tour from Rio de Janeiro is an exiting one and gives you a chance to enjoy one-hour hike and watch the tropical fruits, trees, monkeys, butterflies, various kind of birds, Cachoeira dos Macacos waterfall, the Mesa do Imperador (emperor's table), Taunay's waterfall and Mayrink chapel.

The Sepetiba bay cruise & tropical Islands tour is definitely worth doing and it takes 8 hrs including lunch. We did this Brazil cruise once and got an opportunity to see dolphins, turtles, giant kingfishers and stingrays. On the way we have visited the wonderful residential area of Barra and America's Avenue with its modern shopping centers, Sernambetiba avenue & Ayrton Senna avenue Rio's exciting nightlife center. April to June are perfect time & weather to have Rio de Janeiro vacations but if you like to have a beach vacation then plan between Dec and March.

The Sugar loaf mountain tour is also a very popular tour and don't miss it during your Rio de Janeiro vacation. Sugar Loaf Mountain is the most famous icon Rio de Janeiro's and you can take a breathtaking ride in a cable car to the top of the Sugar Loaf. This trip includes the visit to downtown Rio, traditional Cinelandia square, municipal theater, national library and national museum of fine arts.

No visit to Rio de Janeiro would be complete without visiting the popular Brazil beaches - Leblon beach, Barra beach and Ipanema beach. Since you are staying at Rio de Janeiro for only a week, it's better to explore all Rio de Janeiro attractions by Brazil day trips. Have a nice vacation in Rio de Janeiro!
