Brazil

Brazil is host to modern cities, sunny beaches, the Amazon River, and colonial towns. The Amazon provides nature lovers with jungle tours and river boat tours. Rio de Janiero has a combination of beaches, sports, sun, gardens and perfect for those looking for fun in the sun during the day and dancing in the night.

Smile first time to Brazil

I have a couple of questions. I am trying to go on a fun trip to Brazil next week, and I have to fly into Sao Paulo. (I fly standby, and that's the only city with flight availability). I really want to do some fun waterfall/jungle/beach stuff, but what is the best way to go about doing that once I get into Sao Paulo? I definitely don't want to stay in a big city, and everything fun I found online is out of Rio de Janiero. Any advice? I don't mind flying or driving somewhere, I just don't know where to start once I'm in Sao Paulo. I will able to stay in Brazil about 5 days. I am open to any and all suggestions! THANKS! :)

Flying in from Atlanta... I just had another option open up, though. There's a 7-day cruise leaving from Sao Paulo and going to Rio, Salvador, and Ilhabela. Do you know anything about these places? I'm sure there are excursions we can take to have some fun stuff off the boat. I love cruises, so this would be ideal - I just don't know if it would be worth it since we probably wouldn't get the whole Brazilian experience. Let me know what you think and thanks for replying! :) p.s. we really just want to say we've been to South America, as horrible as that sounds. we are trying to have kids in the next year, so we are trying to go to as many places as possible...

Yudi, standby is nice because you can go on any flight at the last minute, BUT I only travel standby because I am a flight attendant and work for Delta. Otherwise, I would have to buy a ticket, but right now I get to fly free!!! Very nice, but sometimes the flights are full. If there are no seats available, I can't go. Hope this helps!

How was your trip?
I've always wanted to go to Brazil, but haven't had the time to travel lately.
