cheap flights in Brazil

hi all!

I having been advised that for our trip of Brazil would have to use a plane as a mode of transport so I was wondering you guys thought about this. Are domestic flights cheaper than international flights? any suggestions or advise are welcome!

Hi there,

This is true as Brazil is a very large country. The only thing is that travel in Brazil is not as cheap as flights available into Brazil.

Therefore, I would advise to shop around a number of travel agents and to purchase a Brazil Airpass if you are going to travel a lot.

Both Varig and Tam Airpasses can save yourself a substantial amount of money when you purchase them as part of your overall ticket price for your international flight to Brazil.

Also, I would advice to look out for unusually cheap flights in Brazil as some travel agents don't include airport taxes and they are not cheap!

if you have some time you can do the northeast brazil by bus backpacking going from northeast to north arriving in belem pará and taking a boat that takes five days going upstreams to manaus amazon stopping at many ports when you can go out, do a quick tour and enjoying some beaches along the way. once in manaus you can buy you ticket and go back to rio de janeiro or são paulo by plane to go back home.

Brazil is huge and few flights can be the same or more expansive than few international flights, 4 ex, a flight from rio de janeiro to buenos aires is much more cheap then a flight from rio to manaus, but dont worry use the internet to get the best prices for domestics flights!
