|  wanting to go to Catalina Island I'l be in LA with a few friends for 3 weeks and we'd fancy a fishing trip to Catalina Island during our vacation..what kind of fishing is popular there...and what other things do people get up to on Catalina Island? are there affordable lodging options? |

|  Re: wanting to go to Catalina Island We spent a lovely vacation in Catalina Island last year on a sailing trip doing game fishing for deep-sea marine life like tuna, barracuda and marlin. Besides fishing, we did other activities like parasailing, rafting, and jet skiing, though there are always activities on offer all the time so, you should visit the visitor center when you arrive in Catalina Island to get more information on the activities in the area and the times that they are scheduled. By the way, you can get to Catalina Island on a high-speed ferry that departs from Long Beach. Both the Catalina Express and the Catalina Explorer can take you there quickly. |
