Closest airport to Yosemite

Hi friends,

I'm planning a visit to California with several stops, including Yosemite and the Giant Sequoia forest, among other major city destinations, and while I've got my airport landing for the Sequoia area, San Francisco, because I'm bound for that city, too, I'd like to know more about the airport options, and even other travel options for getting to Yosemite. Is it best to drive there from San Francisco, or is there an airport near Yosemite that will be my better option? As always, I appreciate all of your advice on the subject. Thank you!

the closest airport to Yosemite will be either San Jose or Oakland. There's also a small airport in Oakdale, which is 90 minutes away from Yosemite, but I don't think is a public one. Either way, both San Jose or Oakland airports aren't too far so, It'll be like 30 miles one way or another. So if you find a cheaper flight that works best for your schedule or budget, I'd take that and not be too concerned about the distance.
