Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

As an Australian, with access to a motor home in the US, what are the logistics of visiting the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elagance? We are planning to go next year, August 19th is the date I gather. Where do you stay, how do you book in, how do you get local transport etc etc?

Their official website points you to their online store, which says tickets don't go on sale until April 2007, so I'd just keep an eye on that site for now.

From their official site, whose info looks like it is all in regards to the 2006 show, the ticket price is $150. They even have a "day of show" price ($175) which tells me tickets should be available for a while after April. They also had a package for $450, which provides you with breakfast, lunch, shuttle service, and the VIP treatment (whatever that means).

As far as where to stay, Carmel and the surrounding area aren't hurting for nice hotels. They can be a bit pricey, primarily because it's such a nice area.

Sounds like a fun trip, I'd love to check out those cars myself.
