Smile Spare day in San Francisco with kids

I have a day in San Francisco and will be renting a car. With 3 kids in tow, what would be good options to spend the day? We would have spent some time at fisherman's wharf and done the golden gate tours. Is Napa Valley a good option? The kdis can run around the vineyards while we taste some wine. Would appreciate your comments.
Many thanks

Default Re: Spare day in San Francisco with kids

hi there,

I am not sure how old your kids are but here are some suggestions to consider:

- Visiting Napa wineries and learning about the wine-making process is an option.

- Taking a bicycle tour or a hot air balloon ride is another exciting thing to do.

- The Napa Valley Dinner Train is a major attraction that lets you enjoy an excellent meal while they pass some of the most scenic areas in Napa Valley CA.

The train goes between the town of Napa and St Helena, which is 18 miles to the north. There are three different dining cars, so you can enjoy lunch, brunch or dinner while you take in the peaceful countryside.

Since you're renting a car, if you enjoy peaceful country roads, a scenic drive on Highway 29 is one of the best things to do. Going north on Highway 29 takes you through the western part of Napa Valley, past world-class wineries and excellent restaurants.

Hope this helps
