We are looking to go on Vacation in California for a week. When is the best time to go? We want to see Disneyland. How many days do we need to see it all there? I know we are crazy but we were thinking of possibly going in July....Any help out there would be great. There are 4 of us. My husband, myself, our 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter. Our dates are flexible. But we would like to go after 4th of July and before Labor Day.

Disney's "on-season" starts from June to the ending of Labor Day. So you're planning on going when there'll be a lot of other families also traveling to ride the rides and see all of Disney's favorite characters. A couple things to keep in mind, is that the summer can get pretty warm temperatures. If you're used to 80s and 90s, then hey....go any day. If not, then maybe try July. While at the park, there are many rides that have a "fast pass" that will allow you get a ticket for a later time. Personally, I've used it for some of the rides and it definitely beats the lines! Plus, you get to plan out your route as far as times go. So take a map of the park and find out where you can get one and plan your route. Saturdays are when it's most crowded. So I say, start early and try Tuesday-Thursday. I would say you can do the whole park in a day and end it with the Park's parade at the end of the evening. Hope you have fun with the kids.

There are three offical Disneyland Hotels Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Disneyland Hotel Paradise Pier Hotel or course there are many more nearby. Whats you budget? What part of the country are you coming from? Its best to get a package that will cover airfare, hotel, rental car (if needed). The Grand Californian is nice and so convenient; It is considered on the property of DCA, and has its own entrance to that park. GC is also very close to DL, roughly 5 minutes from most rooms. The Disneyland Hotel is much older, but it's still perfectly nice and festive. It has some pretty grounds. Some prefer it over the GCH because the rooms are a little larger, and because it has more Disney touches. Kids might prefer the DLH pool over the GCH pool. Disneyland Hotel is a comfortable 10 minute stroll down to the entrance. Alternatively, you can hop on the monorail into Tomorrowland. The monorail is within about 5 minutes from most rooms.
