|  San Francisco beaches Are San Francisco beaches ideal for swimming and where should we go? Can you suggest any San Francisco beaches suitable for families? thanks any ideas! |

|  Re: San Francisco beaches hi there, The San Francisco beaches can be too cold for most people and windy, and are not all that ideal for swimming or spending a day at the beach. However, it can get warm in San Francisco and when it does most people head to Ocean Beach, Aquatic Park, East Beach, and Baker Beach. East Beach is one of the best beaches for families in the summer months, as it has lifeguards and shallow waters. Also, like Ocean Beach, this beach is on the Pacific side and you can get breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge. East Beach is also a popular place to enjoy picnics and visiting the Exploratorium, which is one of the best family attractions in the city. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy
