Default renting a car in San Francisco?

hey guys,

I am debating with my partner whether to rent or not to rent a car in San Francisco? Is it a good idea and is there other ways to get around there?

Default Re: renting a car in San Francisco?

hi there,

There are a number of major car rental agencies at the San Francisco International Airport, but cars aren't the only option when it comes to San Francisco transportation, and there are various ways to get from the airport to the downtown area, such as using the San Francisco BART trains, which are cheaper than car rental.

Apart from the BART trains, most people use buses, cable cars, and street cars for getting around.

Default Do you need to rent a car in San Francisco?

Hello, I saw your question: do you need to rent a car in San Francisco. Ruby gave some good advice. It seems like car rentals are pretty high right now, and you don't have to worry about paying for parking. I know that public transportation drops you right at Pier 39, and there's a million things to do there, including some great shopping and a ton of boat cruises. You could do a bunch of things without needing a car.
