|  San Francisco cable car hey, we're traveling to San Francisco for the first time...Does anyone know exactly where we can get on a San Francisco cable car and how much it cost? |

| Re: San Francisco cable car hi there, Powell and Market is where you can get on the Cable Car, and be aware that the ride is very slow and noisy, although you do get great views of the city and the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. One Cable Car route goes up Powell to Mason Street, and the other on goes up Hyde Street closer to Ghirardhelli Square, and each ride cost $3.00. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy
