| hi, We like the sound of staying in the heart of Vancouver without the downtown hassles, so we're deciding to stay at the Granville Island Hotel...also, what's there to do on this side of Vancouver? thanks |

| hi there, If you're here over the weekend, Granville Island Market comes alive with performers, musicians, tourists and locals. There are dozens of shops containing unique and locally-made items like jewelry, wood crafts and artwork. There is also a large food market selling beautifully fresh produce, flowers and European meats and cheeses. After you’ve had your fill of the Granville Island Market, check out the highly-recommended train museum, the Maritime Heritage Museum and the Planetarium. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy

| Since the hotel is in downtown Vancouver, you will be very close to lots of things. The world-famous Stanley Park is close by. It's home to carriage rides, a spiffy aquarium, a lighthouse, and lots of public art. There's totem poles and a seawall to walk by. Lots of people visit the park on their trip to Vancouver. |
