| Hi! I've not done very much hiking but I'm currently planning a bike touring trip around the area so I may have some tips for you! The Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island are extraordinarily beautiful. I'd recommend starting in Victoria (or Port Angeles or Seattle maybe if you're from the states) and hiking all around the islands. There are ferries interconnecting them all which you can walk on for quite a reduced fee from the charge for cars; you can also get passes, I think. There's so much natural beautiful to enjoy, including rainforests, amazing surfing and good trails and campsites that are only accessible by foot or boat. You can hit the Sunshine Coast as well, Squamish, and then go to Vancouver from there, or start up there and end up in Vancouver from Victoria/Tsawassen. |
