best time to visit Montreal

when do you guys think the best time to visit Montreal is? is late spring and summer good times in terms of weather and crowds?

Montreal is definitely in full swing during the summer months, so the city is particularly busy during the months of June and July when some of the most popular festivals like the Montreal International Jazz Festival takes place.

I'd definitely say to avoid this two months and look to travel to Montreal in late spring, or late summer since crowds will be fewer and weather still pleasant enough.

Having said this, Montreal during the summer is an amazing place to be and the experience of being there during one of the major summer events is quite memorable.

If you are looking for pleasant weather but want to avoid crowds, I would guess May-June or September would be best

for me the best time to be in Montreal is between June and July...as a tourist I think summer will be the best time to actually enjoy a trip to Montrealer. I would highly suggest coming for F1 weekend, which is an amazing grand prix experience!

it really depends my friend! what are your interests? If you love beer..than visit between May31 and Jun4 for the Montreal beer fest. If you're into car racing..the F1 weekend in June is seriously amazing...either way, you'll always find something fun to do in Montreal with and without festivals.
