 |  Facts about Canada Hello! What are your favorite facts about Canada? I'll share some here: Canada is home to 34.4 million people. Canada has more than 100 national parks...all amazing. Churchill, Manitoba is one of the best places in North America to find polar bears in the wild. Many diamonds come from mines in the Northwest Territories, and Yellow Knife is known as the Diamond Capital.

| cool facts about Canada I hear there are too few men in Canada.. apparently, for every 100 men, Canada has 102 women. Other cool facts include basketball and eggs. Basketball was invented in Canada by a Scottish man (can't remember his name). Also, Canada has about 30 million egg-laying hens laying about 8 billion eggs each year. Quote:

| Re: Facts about Canada Cool facts! It was James Naismith that invented basketball. Canada is the second largest country in the world, if you go by land mass. Russia is No. 1. 1/3 of the surface area of the Great Lakes is in Canada. |
