|  2010 Winter Olympics ticket selling process Hi there, Olympic goers wishing to buy tickets for the 2010 Olympics will have to purchase them through an authorized sales agent for their own National Olympic Committee. Only authorized sources will be allowed to sell 2010 Winter Olympics Tickets therefore tickets purchased through unauthorized agencies will not be accepted as an entry to any of the Olympic venues. The following Phase system will give you an idea of when and how the process will work for you to be able to enjoy the 2010 Winter Olympics and purchase tickets with ease. Tickets for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics will be sold in three phases: Phase 1 starts with the application period which began in October 2008. To distribute the tickets in a fair manner, a lottery will be held in which ticket packages for sessions with greater demand will be sold. Phase 2 involves the selling of tickets to the public which were not sold in Phase 1. Phase 3 involves selling all unsold tickets but this time, the tickets will be sold with seating information unlike in Phase 1 and 2 where seating information will be given sometime in mid 2009.
