|  First time in the Caribbean not sure where to go? Hi all! I'm hoping I could get your opinions and advice. I'm planning a vacation for May and can't decide where to go. I've never been to any of the islands. I'm looking for great beaches and some things to do and cheap airfare. I know I've heard some people say go somewhere other than the Bahamas, but not sure why. What would you recommend. How are prices on the hotels on these islands? Thank you |

| Re: First time in the Caribbean not sure where to go? Hiya, I have been on several cruises to the Caribbean and would say you can't go wrong with Cayman or USVirgin Islands. I think Bahamas is probably the most commercialised of the islands that you might as well just go to Miami Beach. If you don't mind cruising, I'd recommend a cruise for getting a good taste of different islands. Whatever you end up staying, I do suggest staying at an all-inclusive resort, as food in the islands is real expensive and not very good. |
