Default Dominican Republic

Hi,

i'm new to the board and was just wondering....I was in Cuba in April and when we went we brought a bunch of things for the people there such as clothes, toys and stuff for the kids, shampoos and whatever else we could think of that would be needed. We had never been and was told by others to bring some of that stuff.

Now I am headed to Puerto Plata and will be my first time in the Dominican and was wondering if there is a need for those kind of things.

I hardly ever travel outside of Canada so when it comes to travel I am like a lost sheep.

I have a friend that went to Dominican Republic, for a few weeks and he didn`t take take much apart from clothing and the usual toiletry's e.g. shampoo, deodorant, soap, shaving cream, toothpaste, etc... but that is what everyone would take going on holiday anywhere else, I guess.

Honestly anything that you take im sure they will appreciate that. But to be safe you might want to take the same things you did when you went to Cuba.
