China

China is home to some of the richest history and tradition in the world. You can view modernity in the large cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. You can also see monuments and proof of cultural history, like the Great Wall of China and the Silk Road. Finally, there's no shartage of natural wonders, such as the Himalayas (more specifically Mt. Everest) and the Yangtze River.

Default Do I need a Visa?

My family wants to go to Hong Kong this May. I know we don't have to get a Visa to do this. But we want to go to Shenzhen too. Do we need a Visa to go there?

Your replies will be appreciated.

Yes, you will need a visa to get into mainland China.

Found this article:

Obtaining a visa for China in Hong Kong

Q: Hi, can you tell me whether it is possible (for a European citizen) to obtain a visa for mainland China in Hong Kong? Where? And how long does it take?

A: It is relatively easy to get a China visa in Hong Kong (HK$ 180- 600, it depends on the kind of visa). Most of the travel agencies in Hong Kong provide this service, (1 or 2 days) a bit of service charge is probably worth the hassle to go to the authority yourself.

You can also apply for the visa yourself at the consulate; it is cheaper (prices start at HK$ 100), but it usually takes longer.

Consulate Department Office of
the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong

We recommend applying through a travel agent.
