As the cultural center of China, Beijing does not lack entertainment: From clubs to traditional opera performances, Beijing has it all.
Beijing is a great place to see traditional opera, Chinese acrobatics, and folk arts such as crosstalk and storytelling. These traditional performances can be experienced at many of the theaters and teahouses such as Lao She Teahouse, Beijing Concert Hall, Concert hall of the Conservatory of Music, Beijing Tianqiao Theater, Chang'an grand Theater and Huguang Guild Hall.
If you want to experience the traditional Chinese culture, Hutong would be a good choice. I highly recommend the Houhai area which is near to the Beihai park and is around many Hutongs. Start your day with a stroll in the park and at noon, you can go to some typical Chinese restaurant such as JuDeHuaTian for some traditional Chinese food. And in the afternoon, take your time and walk in different Hutongs. It’s the best way to get to know Chinese culture. When the sun goes down, the Houhai area, which is also known as the bar area, gets crowded with people from various country of the world.
Well, there are so many interesting places to go in Beijing that I can’t list all of them here.
