China

China is home to some of the richest history and tradition in the world. You can view modernity in the large cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. You can also see monuments and proof of cultural history, like the Great Wall of China and the Silk Road. Finally, there's no shartage of natural wonders, such as the Himalayas (more specifically Mt. Everest) and the Yangtze River.

Default Chinese cuisines you should have in Beijing

The Olympic is coming in 8 days. We are all excited about that. For foreigners, it is a good opportunity to experience Chinese culture and Chinese cuisines. Below are some traditional Chinese food echinacities.com recommends that you should have when visiting Beijing.

Peking Roast Duck and dumplings are two representative Beijing food. Quanjude was established in 1964 and has been the most famous roast duck shop in Beijing. But if you ask some Beijingers, they would recommend you to go to Bianyifang whose roast duck is cheaper and more delicious. Dumpling stores can be found everywhere in Beijing and Hongmao dumplings has gained reputation among Beijingers. You can have a try.

Chinese food has been famous for its diversity and different places have food of different tastes. But here in Beijing you can find whatever taste you want to have. Recently spicy food from Sichuan and Guizhou has been popular among Beijingers because in their words, eating spicy food can release their pressure. There are many Sichuan and Guizhou spicy food restaurants in Beijing streets. If you like spicy food I highly recommend you to have a try!

There are also many Muslim restaurants in Beijing. If you are a Muslim, you would not have to worry where to eat.

There are so many delicious Chinese food in Beijing that I can’t list all of them here. If you want to know more, you can go to ecihnacities.com for more information.

Hi all, I've been to Beijing before. I agree that one should try its local food, especially the Peking roast duck, it was being slice into thin crisp pieces, yum..yum... you could see more images of all those local food at a4blog dot com. Besides, one could backpack in Beijing too. The public transportation make it convenient for me to travel around. But you also must forget to bring along guidebook in case. i bought a Beijing guidebook from a4trip dot com. It was really a helpful guidebook. It's brief but clear enough to make me plan for my journey...hope that it helps!!
