| China China is home to some of the richest history and tradition in the world. You can view modernity in the large cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. You can also see monuments and proof of cultural history, like the Great Wall of China and the Silk Road. Finally, there's no shartage of natural wonders, such as the Himalayas (more specifically Mt. Everest) and the Yangtze River. |

| It’s common that if you come to a foreign country, you’ve got to have a taste of the local food. But after some time, you may miss food of your hometown. So if you come to Beijing and the Beijing food is not to your taste, where to find the authentic foreign food? Below are some suggestions by echinacities.com. If you want to have some fast food, McDonald and KFC can be found conveniently in Beijing streets. But the Burger King is only in the Beijing Capital Airport. The area around Sanlitun is most famous for its foreign restaurants. Here you can find some western food restaurants that are mostly run by foreigners. Wudaokou and Wangjing area are packed with Korean food restaurants. If you are a Muslim, you should go to the Beijing liaison office of Urumchi government which is famous for its chickens and lamb shashlik. The restaurant is located in the Xizhimen area. But one thing I should remind you is that the price of these foreign restaurants can be very expensive, so if the Chinese food is not against your taste, I think you’d better “while in Rome, do as Romans do”. |
