China

China is home to some of the richest history and tradition in the world. You can view modernity in the large cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. You can also see monuments and proof of cultural history, like the Great Wall of China and the Silk Road. Finally, there's no shartage of natural wonders, such as the Himalayas (more specifically Mt. Everest) and the Yangtze River.

Default Macau China - soon to be Corporate Tax Haven

Macau has the third-lowest average taxation level for companies in the world, Macau daily, Tribuna de Macau reported Tuesday citing a report drawn up by KPMG.

Having analyzed company taxation in 86 countries and territories in 2006, KPMG said that the world average corporate taxation level was 27.1 percent while in Macau it stood at just 12 percent.

Of the group of countries and territories surveyed, Macau was behind only the Cayman Islands – a tax haven where businesses pay no tax – and Cyprus, where average corporate taxation stood at 10 percent.

Oman, like Macau, had average company taxation of 12 percent.

The list drawn up by KPMG was headed by Japan where corporate taxation levels stood at 40.69 percent last year.

Default taxable asset on its sale

Presently I live an own flat in Scotland and I am building a home which I intend to move into once completed. Obviously the point is to not pay any taxation on either property. I do intend to live in my new home but just not sure whether to sell my flat straight away and am obviously worried that if I hold onto the flat that it might then be treated as a taxable asset on its sale. So friends, is there any information would be very appreciated regarding property law and taxation?

Okay, do you know the American government is forcing taxes upon the average citizens? I think under the age of 18, American citizens should not be forced to pay taxes because they are not given the ability to vote for representation. Why should a minor be forced to pay when the minor's voice is often ignored and never plays an immediate role in politics? If I can't vote then I shouldn't pay taxes.
